FILM: Shynola - [2003] Go With The Flow By Queens Of The Stone Age

Shynola, currently a trio consisting of Chris Harding, Jason Groves, and Richard Kenworthy, are a creative collective who have been producing distinctive, award-winning content since their first collaborative short, The Littlest Robo, in 1996. The original fourth member, Gideon Baws, unfortunately passed away in 2008 due to viral myocarditis at the age of 33.

The group has worked with artists Beck, Blur, Coldplay, Queens of the Stone Age, and Radiohead in creating unique and appealing music videos. In addition, they've been commissioned by the likes of Honda, Nike, Orange, Sony for commercial creation. Their TV work includes animation for Channel 4's The IT Crowd and Nathan Barley, the titular guide for the film, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and the awe-inspiring introduction sequence for Scott Pilgrim VS The World. Currently, the collective are writing and developing their first feature film, entitled The RedMen, based off Matthew De Abaitua's novel, The Red Men.

2003 saw the release of the group's wildly popular music video for the song "Go With The Flow" off of  Queens of the Stone Age's record Songs for the Deaf . Utilizing 3D via Maya, rotoscoping/pre- and post-film coloring techniques, Shynola produced a tri-toned, edgy, and abstract video with a raw cartoon vibe that blends in with quick-paced editing, resulting in candy for the eyes and coke for the ears.
